The Consumer Insights + Research Director oversees and guides the creative and professional development of the Consumer Insights + Research group. Serving as a mentor, teacher, player and coach, this position will be a responsible advocate for the group’s creative and professional point of view, continually inspiring and encouraging its members to raises the bar on the quality of work produced. 

With Consumer Insights + Research recognized as an integrated and foundational component of Ziba’s practice, the Director will have a firm ability to synthesize and edit, and the capacity to expand upon best practices and methodologies to advance the practice.

You will:

  1. Lead the creative process and develop best practices for the group. 
  2. Have the ability to produce agile business and cognitive modeling, alongside research and trends.
  3. Represent a point of view to the creative directors and account teams. 
  4. Produce and guide the production of work that consistently delivers. 
  5. Mentor and help chart career paths. 
  6. Constantly push the boundaries to improve Ziba’s creative product. 

You have:

  1. A BA/BS or equivalent experience. 
  2. At least eight years of experience creating impressive results for clients in the capacity of ethnographic research, consumer insights and trend analysis.
  3. An in-depth understanding and proven experience with design research and planning.
  4. An entrepreneurial spirit, creative vision, strategic intellect, and desire to lead.
  5. Ability to lead and mentor both internally and externally. 
  6. The emotional maturity to guide and represent the creative product while remaining mindful and respectful of various points of view and vision from within the studio.
  7. A strong capacity for critical thought and information synthesis. 
  8. Solid organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
  9. Proven organizational behavior and team-building skills, and the ability to provide meaningful and effective feedback and guidance to a group of creative professionals.
  10. Strong verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact with clients.

Extensive global and domestic travel is required for this position.
